Ed Ormsbee

Retired President and Current Board Member

Before being named the president in 2005, Ed served over 20 years at Cal-Ore with a variety of responsibilities as a financial consultant, controller, and later as Cal-Ore’s general manager. Ed retired in April 2020 after 35 years of service and still actively serves on our Board of Directors.

Under Ed’s leadership, Cal-Ore evolved from a local telephone company in Dorris, California, into a leading voice and data provider serving Southern Oregon and Northern California with over a 400-mile network of company-owned fiber.

With this network, Cal-Ore provides traditional phone services as well as enterprise-grade fiber internet connections, voice-over-IP, online backup, and other hosted data services. Outside of life at Cal-Ore, Ed enjoys his time in the garden, beekeeping, bird hunting, photography and time with his family.


Dan Morrison

President

As President and General Manager of Cal-Ore, Dan Morrison is responsible for all company operations. Dan has more than 20 years of leadership experience, ranging from entrepreneurial to global business environments.

Before joining the Cal-Ore team in 2013, Dan held senior leadership positions in Global Information Technology for a multi-national manufacturing company. Prior to being named as the new Cal-Ore President, Dan led the CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) subsidiary business at Cal-Ore.

Dan holds a bachelor of science degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology.


Joleen Hogan

Human Resources and Safety

As Cal-Ore’s Human Resource and Safety Director,  Joleen is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state employment, customer privacy and safety regulations, she also serves as Administrative Assistant to the President\GM of Cal-Ore.

Joleen has lived and worked in the Siskiyou and Klamath County area since relocating from Southern California in 1993. In 1997 she joined the Cal-Ore Team as a customer service representative and has since gained over 20 years of telecom experience while serving on numerous industry committees and boards.

As well as working for a telecommunications company that focuses on advancing rural communities, Joleen treasures our regions open countryside and small-town ambience.
