Call Forwarding

Call Forwarding allows you to send your calls from your home phone to another number. When Call Forwarding is activated, your phone will signal with a short ring each time it forwards a call. You can make outgoing calls, but you can’t receive incoming calls, unless you deactivate Call Forwarding.

Call Waiting

While you are on the phone, Call Waiting notifies you when another caller is trying to reach you. By simply pressing on the switch hook, you can place one caller on hold and speak to the second caller.

If you are subscribed to Caller ID, You will be able to see the name and number of the calling party on your Caller ID box or phone.

Three Way Calling

Three-way calling allows you to ring in more than one phone number to your conversation to enable you to talk with two different people at the same time.

Caller ID

Caller ID identifies the number of the calling party. After your phone rings once, the caller’s number appears on the display. You can then decide if you want to answer or not. The date and time of the incoming call is also displayed.

Caller ID w/name

This is the same as Caller ID except that the caller’s name will also appear on the display of your caller ID device.

Call Return

Call Return lets you dial the last incoming call you received whether or not you answered the phone. When you activate Automatic Recall, the system tells you the directory number of the last incoming call and then gives you the choice of continuing the recall or ending the recall. If you recall and the line is busy, Call Return will keep trying the number for up to 30 minutes.

Speed Calling (8 codes)

Speed Dial – 8 lets you program your phone to dial a complete phone number (7 or 10 digits) when you enter a 1 digit code.

Speed Calling (30 codes)

Speed Dial – 30 lets you program your phone to dial a complete phone number (7 or 10 digits) when you enter 2 digit code

Priority Ringing

With Priority Call, you know that a call is important before you answer. You can even mark numbers from which you do not wish to receive calls, and when you hear that particular ring, you can choose to ignore the call.

Priority Ringing allows you to provide up to 6 pre-selected telephone numbers with a distinctive ring or alerting signal (or a Call Waiting tone if you are subscribed to Call Waiting). Please call us to provide us with your numbers.

Repeat Dialing

Repeat Dialing works like an enhanced redial button. If the line you’re trying to reach is busy, the Repeat Dialing keeps trying the number for up to 30 minutes. Once both lines are idle, you will hear a special ring. When you pick up the phone, the system will ring the party you’re trying to reach.

Selective Call Forwarding

Selective Call Forwarding ensures that specific calls will reach you when you’re away from home or the office. You are able to program up to ten specific directory numbers to be forwarded.

Telemarketing Screening

If you’ve grown weary of annoying calls or unwanted telemarketing calls, Cal-Ore Communications has great news! Our Telemarketing Screening effectively screens telemarketing and other unwanted calls. A quick overview is listed below.

Telemarketer Screening works with Caller ID to identify any incoming calls that are “unknown” or “unavailable”. These callers are intercepted before the customer’s telephone rings and are given an up-front announcement. All calls that are identified by the customer’s Caller ID service will complete as normal.

The caller will be told that the customer does not accept calls from telephone solicitors. If the caller is not a solicitor, they are instructed to press “1” and the call is completed. If they are a solicitor, they are instructed to hang up and to remove the telephone number from their calling list. If no action is taken, the call will be completed.

Toll Restriction

This feature permits the denial of access to the long distance network but allows local calls and calls to Toll Free numbers and 911 calls. This feature also denies access to directory assistance & operator calls.

Find Me Service

Basic Find Me Service is a service that can cause up to six additional telephone numbers to ring simultaneously whenever the telephone number is dialed. The caller is not aware that the call was answered from another telephone number, however the caller will hear a message, “searching for party” as the service searches for the customer. The customer can route their calls to any telephone number on a pre-set schedule depending on the time of day.

Enhanced Find Me Service is a service that you can customize with up to six additional telephone numbers to ring simultaneously or in sequence whenever the telephone number is dialed. The caller is not aware that the call was answered from another telephone number, however the caller will hear a message, “searching for party” as the service searches for the customer. The customer can route their calls to any telephone number on a pre-set schedule depending on the time of day and also designate how many rings until routing on to the next in sequence.

Selective Call Rejection

Selective Call Rejection allows you to selectively program a list of up to ten directory numbers that you want rejected or blocked when they call you. The rejected or blocked caller receives a message informing them that you’re not taking calls. With this feature activated, your phone won’t ring when it receives a call from one of those numbers.

Selective Call Acceptance

Selective Call Acceptance allows you to selectively program a list of up to ten directory numbers that you want to receive when they call you. All other calls will be blocked The rejected or blocked caller receives a message informing them that you’re not taking calls. With this feature activated, your phone won’t ring when it receives a call unless it’s from from one of those numbers.

Teen Line (Distinctive Ring)

This service allows you to have a second telephone number assigned to your existing line. It can be used by any customer who wants to have some of the advantages of a second line at a smaller cost. All incoming calls on the Teen Line number will have two short rings, so the customer can distinguish which line is being called. If you have call waiting and are on a call, you will hear two short beeps if the incoming call is on the teen line number.

Note

Only one conversation can be held at a time. Although you have more than one telephone number, you still have just one line.
